okay gina, you name the movie...

anyone can have a go.

"The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

I guess... I need to see more movies. I am horrible at this. Maybe if we were guessing Disney movies, I might do better.

Does it have Earnest in the title? Maybe "Earnest Goes To Hollywood"?

yes audra, earnest is in the title. although it is geographically different than "earnest goes to hollywood." this line is said by one of my favorite actresses. i still have yet to see cranford. so that is not it.

The Importance of Being Earnest

I guessed Cranford because I vaguely remembered a part in there where a noblewoman does not want one of the working class to learn to read or to get an education.

I've only seen The Importance of Being Earnest once.

Just for the record that was Dennis - I want to give Audra more credit than that.

gina got it. "the importance of being earnest." it is on of judy dench's lines. i really like her as an actress. my favorite part of this quote is "and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor square," it is so random.

If you like Judy Dench, you should watch Cranford.
